The Love Language Is Logistics

Amylove makes luggage for the people who pack for everyone else first and themselves last — the ones who show up with the extra charger, the spare snacks, the thing you forgot you needed. We started because most suitcases treat travel like a logistics problem to survive, not something you’re doing for people you love: a wedding across the country, a kid’s first semester away, a parent who needs help at baggage claim. So we built bags around the actual moment of leaving — sturdy enough to get thrown in a trunk without a second thought, organized enough that you’re not digging through someone else’s socks looking for a passport at security.

That meant caring about the parts nobody photographs. Wheels that survive a cobblestone street and an airport floor on the same trip, zippers that don’t seize up the one time you’re already running late, a shell that can take a baggage handler’s bad day and still close right the next morning. We’ve sent bags through enough connections and enough hands that don’t care whose gift is inside to know that “looks nice in the store” and “still works after flight three” are two different bags entirely — and we only wanted to make the second one.

If you’re the one who ends up in charge of everyone’s trip — booking, reminding, packing the bag that has to work no matter who’s carrying it — this is built for you. Not for the suitcase that sits pristine in a closet, but for the one that’s actually been places: scuffed on one corner, still rolling straight, still there for the next person who needs it.

Packed With What Actually Matters

Amylove is built around the parts of travel that actually wear a suitcase down — rough handling, tight overhead bins, and one too many trips through security.

Amylove Carry-On Pro

“The USB port on the side sounds like a gimmick until you’re charging your phone at the gate with no outlet in sight. Used it on every layover of a 14-hour trip.”

Felix O.

Amylove Packing Cube Set

“Bought the packing cubes as an afterthought and now I refuse to travel without them — everything stays put even when I’m digging for one specific shirt at 6am.”

Priya N.

Amylove 20″ Carry-On

“My Amylove carry-on has been through four countries and a very rough baggage handler in Lisbon, and the shell doesn’t have a single crack. The wheels still glide like it’s day one.”

Questions Before Hitting the Road

How much fits inside without going over an airline’s weight limit?

Interior space varies by size, with most models listing both liters and a rough guide to how many days’ worth of clothing that translates to. Packing cubes or compression bags help squeeze in more without adding bulk, though checking the empty weight against an airline’s allowance first leaves more room for what actually goes inside.

How well do the wheels hold up on rough ground like cobblestones or gravel?

Spinner wheels are generally built to roll smoothly across pavement, tile, and carpet, though uneven surfaces like cobblestone or gravel put more strain on the axles and can eventually loosen them. Lifting rather than dragging over rough patches when possible helps the wheels last longer.

What’s the best way to clean it after a trip?

Wiping down the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap handles most scuffs and travel grime. Harsh solvents or abrasive scrubbing can dull the finish or wear down zipper coatings, so a gentler touch keeps the surface looking closer to new for longer. Letting it air dry fully before storing prevents any trapped moisture from causing odors.

Does it meet carry-on size limits for most flights?

Dimensions for carry-on-labeled sizes are built around the general limits used by major airlines, though a few carriers, especially budget ones, run slightly stricter rules. Measuring against the specific airline’s published limits before departure is the safer bet, since gate agents don’t always make exceptions.

Is the lock recognized at airport security, or does it get cut off?

Locks marked with the recognizable red diamond symbol can be opened by security agents using a master key, so bags stay locked through screening without needing to be forced open. A lock without that marking runs the risk of being cut if a manual inspection is needed.

What happens if a zipper, wheel, or handle breaks?

A defect showing up within the return or warranty window is typically covered, and reaching out with photos, an order number, and a short description of the issue is the fastest way to start a repair or replacement. Damage from rough handling by baggage crews or general wear over time usually falls outside that coverage, though it’s worth asking, since policies differ by seller.
